Amaranth is the collaboration between documentary photographers Sheila Griffin and Becky Holladay. Sheila and Becky met while studying at the International Center of Photography and discovered their mutual love for all things square, dreamy, and Brooklyn.
Their photo essays and written essays have appeared in The New Yorker, The New York Times, Vision Magazine, New York Magazine, and numerous other regional and national publications. They have both been nominated for the New York Photo Awards, and been the recipients of fellowships from The International Center of Photography. Sheila has received awards from the American Society of Media Photographers (ASMP), and the International Photography Awards. Their work has been exhibited several NY galleries and at the Pingyao International Photo Festival in Pingyao, China. They are both members of the collective of documentary photographers, What We Saw.
